2007 California Ghost Hunters Conference ~ RESULTS
May 11, 12, 13, 2007 - The Ghost Trackers made their way along the coast to Southern California and ended up in Ventura. Ventura is a beautiful coastal town with nice people and wonderful haunts.
Our conference was so eventful, we would have pages to fill on the occurrences. Let's give you a synopsis and hope that you will visit these fine places and experience things for yourself.
The Pierpont Inn

The beautiful Pierpont Inn in Ventura was gracious enough to assist us with the conference this year. The staff was always willing to help us with the arrangements, the guest list and also make sure that our needs were taken care of. We were welcomed warmly and the accommodations were more than great!!! |

Located very close to the ocean's edge, the Pierpont Inn has a very haunted history. We researched and found a story of the Red Lady and they are listed in the Historic Hotels of America site!!! |

Having a simple reception prior to our ghost hunt of the night, the attendees and our director take it easy with drinks, food and talk. |

The Pierpont Inn allowed us entry to their historic building, The Vickers Estate to have our guest speakers lectures and our lunch. Richard Senate, "Mr. Ventura" is well known around Ventura and has knowledge of all Ventura's haunts. The Pierpont Inn is one recommendation he gave us and we are grateful for this exceptionally haunted hotel to hold our conference in. |

An executive meeting room in the Pierpont Inn was one of our investigation sites. Thanks to Debbie Senate, world renowned medium, she was able to channel many different people in this room and give us names, dates and details which we were able to verify both with the management and with public records. What an excellent place to have a seance and EVP session!!! |

This sweeping bannister area has many different stories of apparition sightings, cold spots and lights flickering off and on. While in this area, our attendees did experience the cold spots and one claimed to have seen a shadow walking up the stairs as we gathered at the bottom of the stairs!! |

The "county bar" area did not disappoint. We were attempting EVP in this area and sounds of glasses hitting one another as well as other noises were heard by three people. |

With the "county bar" in the background, Jennifer and Gladys, both attendees and local to the area, were feeling a woman in their presence and with the aid of Debbie Senate were actually able to feel her in their presence and hear her talk to them. Ghost Trackers lead investigator, Scott Mosbaugh, is in the background checking on further noises and to check for EMF/radiation/temperature changes in the area. |

While Scott was checking for the
named differences, Richard Senate used his own
familiar equipment to do some testing of his own. He was also able to
detect changes with his detector.
The Pierpont Inn investigations proved to be exciting and allowed many different experiences. Everyone had a great time!!! |
The Olivas Adobe

The Olivas Adobe is one of Richard Senate's regular haunts on
his tours throughout Ventura. We were pleased that we were given
permission to investigate this building during our conference.
Richard Senate, Ghost Trackers director, Gloria Young and member, Karen Zimmerman all heard noises and saw lights flashing in that corner of the room.

The children's bedroom is always a place of great activity and
this night was no exception.
Here, Gloria Young and Gavin, producer of the DVD segments for the upcoming, "Poltergeist, 25th Edition", were detecting activity involving the table, the geiger counter and EMF detector. |

Many great paranormal pictures have been taken in the
armoire.
Here you see Richard Senate's reflection as he checks the armoire for any anomalies. |

The children's room has usually had a great deal of paranormal activity. There have been pictures taken of faces in the windows, the dolls moving, noises in the room, people with different feelings, cold spots and flashes of lights in the corners of the room. |

The armoire commands it's own space. Many paranormal
pictures have been taken in this armoire. While it's difficult to
detect, there is a bit of activity occurring in the right panel. Where
the tie of the drapes on the right panel is, you can see an orb with a
contrail.
At first thought it was part of what had been cleaned on the glass but after a much closer look, it's actually in front of the window. |

In the chapel on the second floor, Karen and Scott use different tools to help them detect any paranormal activity. |

Great Thanks To:
Gavin, producer (far right) Meredith, producer "Ogre", cameraman Steve, sound (far left) From New Wave Entertainment, affiliated with Warner Bros. Pictures for filming our investigations at the Pierpont Inn and the Olivas Adobe. Can't wait to see the movie and the results of your filming!!!! |
The 2007 California Ghost Hunters Conference was such a success. Our 5th anniversary was even more difficult to put together because it was so much more special. It's great to know that our conferences have withstood the test of time!!
Thank you to all attendees and guest speakers for taking time out of their busy schedules to join us!!
